We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager/Specialist to join an innovative and growing company in the scientific equipment and consumables industry. This is a newly created role due to business growth, and it will be based in the Auckland office. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact on the company’s growth within the research and academic sectors.

As the Regional Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing key customer relationships across the North Island, focusing on universities, Crown Research Institutes, and other key accounts. You’ll be expected to generate new business, maintain strong customer relationships, and work closely with the team to achieve sales goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing and new customers within the Auckland region
  • Promote a range of scientific products and services to research, academic, and industrial clients
  • Provide valuable support and advice to customers pre- and post-purchase
  • Meet sales targets and KPIs, managing the sales pipeline effectively
  • Work closely with customer service and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Collaborate with the wider team to support the company’s growth and culture

Ideal Candidate:

  • A University Degree in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or similar)
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance customer visits with office duties
  • Full, clean driver’s license required
