Analytical Lab Manager

At Scitex, we’re working with our client to secure an outstanding Analytical Lab Manager who will lead daily operations of their growing ISO 17025 laboratory, based in Te Puke. This role is about much more than just oversight — it’s about shaping the future direction of the lab, growing capability, and mentoring a high-performing team.

What you will do

• Lead daily operations of the ISO 17025 Analytical Lab
• Oversee IANZ audits, quality systems, and LIMS implementation
• Drive method development, validation, and trial work
• Mentor, train, and develop a team of chemists and technicians
• Expand testing into new areas such as water, soil, and leaf analysis

What you bring

• Strong expertise in pesticide testing, LC triple quad and GC triple quad
• Proven experience hosting audits and implementing compliance systems
• Leadership skills to train, guide and grow a capable team
• Background in method development, validation, and accreditation scopes
• A collaborative, problem-solving approach with attention to detail
